A cream countertop basin crafted from natural marble instantly adds weight and character to any bathroom – this Aloni model is hand-eroded from a single piece of natural stone, with an organic, rounded form measuring 30–35 cm wide and 15 cm tall. Ideal for those seeking a countertop basin with a warm, earthy aesthetic that bears no resemblance to pressed steel or ceramic. As each piece comes directly from nature, colour, veining, and texture will vary slightly between individual basins.

Is this product right for you?
This countertop basin is a surface-mounted model with no tap hole. You will therefore need a separate tap positioned beside the basin on the vanity top, or a wall-mounted tap fitted above it. The shelf or worktop on which it sits must be able to support the weight of 24 kg plus water. A solid hardwood top or a stone console slab works well; a thin MDF board is not suitable. At 35 cm wide, it is also practical in smaller bathrooms or as a second basin in a guest bathroom.
Please note: due to the handmade production process, the exact diameter varies between 30 and 35 cm. If you have a dimension-critical installation – for example, a vanity top with a pre-cut aperture – measure the exact size upon delivery before cutting the opening. This model is not suitable if you require an integrated tap hole or a basin with a fixed, precise diameter.
Installation and care
As marble can be porous, it is advisable to treat the interior of the basin with a stone impregnator suitable for marble after positioning it, but before connecting the tap and waste outlet. This ensures all surfaces are properly reached. A common mistake is to install the basin without sealing it first: limescale and soap residue will then penetrate deeper into the material and become far harder to remove. For day-to-day cleaning, use a pH-neutral cleaner; harsh or acidic products will damage the marble.
Frequently asked questions
Is a cream marble countertop basin difficult to keep clean?
Marble is sensitive to acidic cleaning products such as vinegar or lemon. Use a pH-neutral soap and a soft cloth for daily maintenance, and periodically re-treat the basin with a stone impregnator to prevent staining.
Does this basin have a tap hole?
No, this model has no tap hole. The tap is mounted separately on the vanity top beside the basin, or you can opt for a wall-mounted tap positioned above it. Bear this in mind when designing your vanity top.
Why does the size vary between 30 and 35 cm?
The basin is handmade and hand-eroded, meaning each piece of stone responds slightly differently to the crafting process. The variation in diameter is an inherent characteristic of handcrafted natural stone work, not a manufacturing defect. Please check the exact dimensions upon delivery if this is critical to your installation.
