This board is intended for standard pre-wall frames in which you install a wall-hung toilet with a concealed cistern. The 1300x1200mm size fits common frame widths and can be cut to size if the space is narrower. The board can be fixed to both steel and timber studs and then provides a suitable base for tiles, wall panels or waterproof finishing boards.

If the available wall height is less than 1200mm or you are working with a non-standard pre-wall depth, check that the board fits before ordering. The board is not intended as a self-supporting load-bearing structure; the studs of the pre-wall carry the weight, while the board provides fixing points and the wall finish.

Installation and use

A common mistake is fitting the board without first marking the position of the studs on the front. Do this: the pre-drilled openings indicate the fixing points for the concealed cistern, but the studs must sit exactly behind them to keep the connection strong. Also check that the board is level before screwing it in place, as a crooked board will pull the rest of the installation out of alignment.
