Aloni Mikaro cloakroom vanity unit – 40x50x22.3 cm – walnut – right-hand door

A 40 cm wide vanity unit fits in almost any compact cloakroom, and the Aloni Mikaro in walnut combines that slim footprint with a refined look thanks to its ribbed-front door and black handle strip. This unit is designed as a freestanding under-basin cabinet for use beneath a basin or cloakroom basin in a cloakroom or bathroom where space is at a premium. The door is hinged on the right-hand side and is not reversible – please check this before ordering.

Specifications

Is this product right for your space?

At 40 cm wide and just 22.3 cm deep, this vanity unit is well suited to narrow cloakrooms or corners where a standard 45 or 50 cm cabinet simply won't fit. The walnut finish pairs well with dark or neutral tile colours and matt black bathroom taps. The 50 cm height aligns with the typical height of countertop cloakroom basins.

If your layout requires a left-hand opening door, this unit is not suitable – the hinges are on the right and cannot be reversed. Also check the 22.3 cm depth carefully; in a particularly tight recess or built-in situation, this could be a limiting factor.

Installation and use

The vanity unit is supplied with all fixings required for wall-mounted installation. A common mistake when fitting small cloakroom cabinets is hanging them too low, leaving the basin or cloakroom basin sitting at an uncomfortable height. When measuring up, always account for the height of the basin or unit that will sit on or above the cabinet, so that the final working height is ergonomically correct.

Frequently asked questions

Can the door on the Aloni Mikaro 40 cm be reversed to open on the left?

No, the door on this vanity unit is right-hand hinged and cannot be converted to open on the left. Please confirm before purchasing that a right-hand opening door suits your cloakroom layout.

What material is the cabinet made from, and how do I clean it?

The cabinet is constructed from MDF and chipboard with a walnut-effect finish. Wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth; avoid abrasive pads or harsh cleaning products, as these can damage the finish.

Will a standard cloakroom basin or countertop basin fit on this vanity unit?

The vanity unit measures 40 cm wide and 22.3 cm deep. When selecting a basin or cloakroom basin to pair with it, check that the underside of the basin is no wider or deeper than these dimensions. Not all countertop cloakroom basins are suitable for this size.
