Is this product right for you?
A cloakroom recess of 40 cm or wider is sufficient for this unit. The 22.3 cm depth has been kept deliberately shallow so you can still move comfortably past the unit in a narrow cloakroom. Because the hinge side is reversible, it does not matter whether the door needs to open left or right in your space. The unit stands alone as a vanity unit; a matching basin or cloakroom basin is not included and must be ordered separately.
This model is a vanity unit only — no worktop or basin is supplied. If you are looking for a complete toilet furniture set where everything is coordinated, check whether matching additions are available within the Mikaro series first. The unit is also not suitable as a freestanding piece in the middle of a room; it is designed to be wall-mounted.
Installation and use
Before installation, check that the wall behind the unit is flat: even a small irregularity of a few millimetres can prevent the soft-close door from closing flush. Fix the unit level to the wall using the supplied hardware first, then adjust the hinge afterwards. This avoids having to adjust the hinge twice.
Frequently asked questions
Can I fit any basin or cloakroom basin on this vanity unit?
Not every basin will automatically fit a 40 cm wide unit. The cloakroom basin or basin should ideally be exactly 40 cm wide, or have a seating surface that falls within the outer dimensions of the unit. Always check the fixing dimensions of the basin before ordering.
Is the unit suitable for a damp bathroom environment?
The unit is primarily intended for the cloakroom, not for direct contact with water or steam as found in a shower or bathroom. MDF and chipboard can swell with prolonged moisture exposure. Ensure adequate ventilation in the room.
Is the unit delivered assembled or does it require self-assembly?
The unit is delivered as a flat-pack and requires self-assembly. The necessary wall-mounting hardware is included. Allow between half an hour and an hour for assembly if you have some basic DIY experience.
