The maximum wattage is 600W: please check your radiator's wattage before ordering. If your radiator is in a small bathroom and you want a warm room in the morning without having to think about it, programming via the app is exactly what you need. The white finish suits most modern bathroom interiors.

If your electric radiator exceeds 600W, this thermostat is not suitable. The same applies to radiators connected to a central heating system: these require a different type of controller.

Installation and use

The most common mistake when connecting an electric radiator thermostat is swapping the live and neutral wires: always use a mains tester to identify the live wire before connecting the thermostat, even if the wiring in the wall looks identical. An incorrect connection will not only prevent the thermostat from working, but can also damage the internal electronics.

Frequently asked questions

Does this thermostat work without a WiFi connection?

You can also operate the thermostat manually using the physical controls on the unit itself. WiFi is required for app control and setting time programmes remotely, but basic on/off functionality remains available without a network connection.

Which app do I use to connect the Belrad WiFi thermostat?

The thermostat works with the dedicated Belrad app. Specific app names and compatibility requirements are detailed in the supplied instruction manual. If in doubt, check that your smartphone's operating system is supported before ordering.

Can I use this thermostat with an electric towel radiator from another brand?

Yes, provided the electric towel radiator or bathroom radiator from another brand is plug-in and has a maximum wattage of 600W, the thermostat is in principle compatible. The brand of the radiator makes no difference to the connection.

Looking for a matching electric radiator for the bathroom?
